Ashley and Adam, Newbury, New Hampshire

Ashley and Adam were married at The Fells, an estate near Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. On the drive up from Portland, things did not look good. It was humid and showers threatened. As I arrived at the fells, it began to rain. Hard. The rain let up and Ashley and Adam decided to squeeze in their ceremony before an approaching thunderstorm hit. They timed it perfectly, the rain came down again just as they walked up the aisle as husband and wife. Once the storm passed the sun came out and a golden and shimmering light filtered through the trees.

From Ashley on why she chose The Fells as their venue. "Adam and I grew up on opposite sides of Lake Sunapee and reconnected in our late 20s while home visiting friends and family in the area. As he's Jewish and I was raised Catholic - we wanted to include aspects of both faiths but be married in the outdoors. The old trees, established gardens and of course that it was on Lake Sunapee made it the perfect venue for us."
