I’m Chris Bennett, an adventure elopement photographer based near Acadia National Park. I photograph weddings and elopements across Maine, throughout New England, and around the world. My goal is that years from now, even the friends and loved ones who couldn’t attend your wedding will still feel every emotion and moment through the images I create.

At the heart of my work is emotion. The quiet moments, the in-between glances, the way people interact when they forget the camera is there. I’m always paying attention to what matters, not just what looks good.

My approach to wedding photography is rooted in photojournalism. I studied photography with a focus on storytelling and capturing real moments—the kind that happen naturally, without interruption or performance. That foundation still shapes how I photograph weddings today.

At the same time, I don’t believe great wedding photography fits into a single category. Every couple and every celebration has its own energy, and I let that guide how I photograph the day. I mix a documentary approach with creativity and an artistic sensibility—pulling inspiration from your personalities, your relationships, and the overall feel of the event—to create images that feel honest, personal, and timeless.
